The Riders dominated the play in the first with a 21-5 shot advantage but could only put 2 past Austin Wells who was in net despite what the game sheet says. The Rebels were pretty good in the second outshooting the Riders 9-7 and in the third they managed to tie the game with a two goal period.

The Riders 3rd goal was from Joel Burgess who had just left the ice spitting a considerable amount of blood after being hit while stretched out a bit trying to make a play. Cupla minutes later he scored to make it 3-1... that would turn out to be an important goal as the Rebels scored 2 in the last 5 minutes.
Spencer Bender from Pronchuk and Keebler 2 A (who made several things happen for the Riders all night long) scored the OT goal.
Josh McCulloch 1 G got 5 for kneeing in the second, glad I wasn't the Referee because it happened fast and looked like the players tried to get out of the way of each other.
Dylan Robertson didn't get a point but could have been the best player with out a point.
Evan Pumphrey 98 from Sparwood played his first game with the Riders as well.
KI point leader Lubin had 2 A.
In other news the Dynamiters lost when the Rockies scored 2 late goals for a 3-2 win.
